Day 10

Scripture: Isaiah 26:3 — “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

Clip: Jesus heals the leper

The leper was in a state of ultimate un-peace. He was exiled, unclean, isolated. His mind was likely a storm of misery. But in one moment, his focus narrowed to a single, desperate point: Jesus. He didn’t just ask for healing; he submitted to Jesus’s will. “If you are willing…” When our minds are fixed not on our desired outcome but on His person, we find peace. Jesus’s touch was the end of his exile.

Lord, my mind is scattered. It darts between my fears, my to-do lists, and my desires. Keep my mind. Help me fix my gaze on You. Like the leper, let my only question be of Your will, and let my only peace be found in Your touch.

When your mind races today, return to a short phrase (e.g. “Be still and know that I am God”) and repeat it slowly, letting it ground your thoughts.

From the Catechism (CCC):
“The disciples of Christ must be peacemakers…the Kingdom of God is justice, love, and peace; its sign is the cross.” (CCC 2304)

From YOUCAT:
“Peace is an attitude, not a situation. It comes from trusting God in every condition.” (YOUCAT 234)
